Having been diagnosed with many things in my life, I feel confident in self-diagnosing myself as an artist.
I started painting at the age of 39, and initially thought it might be a fun little hobby, but over time, with three years of the pandemic and one year of breast cancer treatment, I have been able to put a lot of time into it.
I’m constantly learning and enjoying every minute… it seems like this might be the life for me!
Previously, I spent most of my working life in the performing arts in management, production and technical roles.
I can only imagine that love of character, story and drama will continue to come through in my art.
So far I’ve been bringing a lot of animals (especially birds) to life in 2d form and have been working in acrylics, gouache and colour pencil.
I have a Cert III in Visual Arts and am currently completing my Cert IV at Oxygen College in Ballarat.

A creative life is never just one thing, so while I may be focusing on my art at the moment, I would never say never to getting back to the performing arts, where I have over 20 years experience.
